Art from the Mass Audubon Collection
April 15 through November 15, 2010
Fruitlands is proud to present the exhibition, For the Birds: Art from Mass Audubon’s collection, opening the 2010 season and featuring remarkable and rarely-exhibited art. The exhibition includes selected works spanning more than two centuries by internationally renowned artists with an intriguingly diverse approach to their subject- birds.
We are pleased to collaborate with the Mass Audubon Visual Arts Center in bringing their collection to a broader audience at Fruitlands. This extraordinary art collection was assembled over the 114 year history of Mass Audubon, new England’s largest conservation organization.
For the Birds has something for everyone—casual visitors, art enthusiasts, backyard birdwatchers, adults and/or children. The exhibit opens with a preview reception on Sunday, April 11 at 6 p.m. Check our events calendar for bird-inspired programming throughout the year.

The Avian Art of Barry Van Dusen
April 15 through November 15, 2010
Fruitlands is proud to present an exhibit by Artist-in-Residence Barry Van Dusen. Flights of Discovery: The Avian Art of Barry Van Dusen, April through November 2010 in the Wayside and the Fruitlands Ell.

Barry Van Dusen is an internationally recognized wildlife artist and has illustrated a variety of natural history books and pocket guides, many in association with Massachusetts Audubon Society.
During his Artist-in-Residence year, Barry Van Dusen is creating new works at Fruitlands, which enable visitors to witness how he creates watercolor art of the birds at Fruitlands.
