Plein Air Artists Welcome!

“In any season, the Fruitlands Museum grounds is an ideal plein air painting site. With its historic structures and expanse of nature, there are hundreds of paintings to be made here.”

The Plein Air Artist Program is open to all painters who wish to paint on the grounds of Fruitlands Museum.

Sign up at the Museum admissions counter and receive five free grounds admissions.  Also, consider becoming a member of the museum to gain unlimited free access to the buildings and grounds.

Fruitlands Museum sits on over 200 acres of open fields, expansive western views, and wooded trails.  There are several historic museum buildings onsite, including a large barn, and two traditional farmhouses.

Dozens of artists have taken part in this program since its inception in 2010. Our 2011 Artist-in-Residence, Jill Pottle, came to Fruitlands through this program.

Click here for a sign up sheet that you can bring with you to the museum.

Fruitlands also offers several classes and workshops in painting, photography and hand crafts. See this page for more information.
